WE ARE THE PSI CHAPTER OF KAPPA PHI LAMBDA SORORITY, INC.
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA-CHAMPAIGN
Kappa Phi Lambda is an Asian-interest but not Asian-exclusive sorority grounded in the three pillars of sisterhood, service, and cultural diversity. The Psi Chapter of Kappa Phi Lambda at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was founded on November 12, 2006. Our sisterhood is represented at 30 different university campuses with over 4,000+ sisters nationwide. There's no sisterhood like the Kappa sisterhood!
FIND YOUR COMMUNITY
We understand that coming to college is a new and exciting experience! Kappas will not only become a support group to guide you through through this chapter of your life, but what's better than creating unforgettable memories with sisters while being involved on campus through our service, philanthropy, and cultural events?
LIFETIME FRIENDSHIPS, ONE SISTERHOOD
Joining Kappas connects you to a diverse and unique group of girls that all look to create everlasting bonds and friendships. We even have sisterhood chairs that create events for sisters to just hang out together and relax when we're not studying for our classes. Many of our sisters become each others' roommates, lifelong friends after graduation, and even each others' bridesmaids!
GROW TOGETHER, LEARN TOGETHER
Being a part of Kappas is more than just joining a sorority. We believe that each of our sister's top priorities is their education and we motivate one another to do well in our academics. ΚΦΛ's values of giving back to the community will also provide opportunities for you to grow personally and professionally. Let Kappas become a resource for you to focus on causes you're passionate about and become part of a sisterhood that values women leadership.

Erika Saligan, Alumna
"I joined Kappas because I wanted to join an organization of women who empower and inspire each other. When I rushed, I could tell that the sisters were genuinely kind and nice, and I knew then that I wanted to be a part of a unique and special sisterhood. I love that I am able to express myself around the sisters. They accept me for who I am and encourage me to do the things I love. I know that through thick and thin my sisters will always have back."
Rachael Ku, President
I wanted to surround myself with genuine people who just want the best for each other. Since coming to college, I've always felt that it was difficult to meet new people in such a different environment. But seeing how kind and welcoming the sisters are, I knew that I wanted to be part of this group of empowering women who could help me grow as a person.
The best thing about Kappas is how unbelievably happy they make me. I love how my Kappa sisters, my big, and my line can never fail to make me laugh, and I also love how their support and love seem to be endless no matter the circumstances.
Katherine Kim, Neo
"Coming from Korea to attend college with very few people I know, in addition to being an introvert, I wanted to take the steps to find a genuine group of people that I could always be myself around and create long lasting relationships with. After seeing the close knit bonds and the genuine love sisters had for each other, I knew I wanted to be a part of Kappas. I found a community of strong girls who I know I can always rely on.""
